Michael Boren's "Frankie"

Michael Boren’s “Frankie”

A lot of people have asked when we will be stitching “Frankie,” Michael Boren’s beautiful, award-winning homage piece to Frank Lloyd Wright.  Although Michael has retired “Frankie” from his teaching repertoire, he has made the kit available to our chapter for $135 (which includes S/H) for stitching individually.  Stitching this project individually rather than in a workshop has several advantages: There will be no teacher fee, or travel/lodging/food costs, and you will be able to work at your own pace.   If you would like to order the kit, you will find a coupon included in this newsletter.   There are four colorways, as shown in the photos below.
Several of our members have already stitched this piece (whether from an earlier Seminar, or Calloway, or the workshop with Shenandoah Chapter) and will be available for consulting.  I will include a list of their names in a later newsletter.  But I would be willing to bet you won’t have to ask many (if any) questions as Michael’s instructions are very thorough.
Note: Michael strongly recommends using Evertight stretcher bars for this piece.  You will need a set of 15" and a set of 12" stretcher bars.
The deadline for ordering this kit is November 15, 2012.
